Dear Sophomores,
I hope you are all well and finding ways to enjoy these last few days of summer! It’s been nice to see some of you on campus these past few weeks, and I hope you’re as excited as I am to see the whole crew back together again next Tuesday.
We will begin our day with a grade meeting at 9am on Massoud Steps. We’ll talk about some of what’s new for the Upper School this year, preview our upcoming field trip on September 22nd (it’s closer than you think!), and leave some time for scheduling questions and concerns. If you haven’t yet looked closely at your schedule in MyDE, please make sure you do so now, and let me know if anything looks amiss.
Just like last year, we will have a special schedule on Tuesday 9/5 and Wednesday 9/6, with our “regular” rotation of classes kicking in on Thursday 9/7. Your special schedule should show up in MyDE, but please do look over these templates so that you know what to expect. Two of the trickier things to know are that H&W classes don’t meet until Thursday, and in fact most minors don’t meet until Thursday, with the exception of those scheduled to meet on Wednesday during A3 and D3. Don’t worry if this feels like too much to take in right now; your advisors and I will be on hand to help you figure out where you’re going at our grade meeting on Tuesday.
